Last Chance to Order Battle of the Books T-Shirts – Place Your Order Online By 3 p.m. Tomorrow, Monday, Nov. 18

  • This is your last chance to order Battle of the Books T-shirts! Place your order online at www.rhpta.membershiptoolkit.com by 3 p.m. tomorrow, Monday, Nov. 18.
  • Shirts are a heathered navy, and the design is red and gold. 
  • Shirts are $9 each and are the softer brand (same as the Field Day T-shirts from last year).
     

One Week Left in Live Thankfully Canned Food Drive!
Our Live Thankfully Canned Food Drive continues through this Friday, Nov. 22!

  • Our goal is 7,000 cans this year – 1,000 cans per grade level. As of last Friday, we were at 4,355 cans! We have five days left to collect 2,645 cans to meet our goal! 
  • We’re collecting all food items – canned foods, rice, beans, mac and cheese, peanut butter, jelly, soup, cereal, oatmeal, snack foods, etc. 
  • Food needs to be non-perishable. Please don’t send glass jars.
  • Mrs. Cotton has approved one week out-of-dress code for the grade level, both students and staff, that brings in the most items! As of last Friday, 3rdgrade was in the lead with 1st grade close behind!
  • We will also have an out-of-dress code fundraiserthis week. We will begin selling wristbands Monday morning for $3 each to be worn this Wednesday, Nov. 20, and Thursday, Nov. 21.All money collected will help pay for Thanksgiving meals. *Please remember that dress code guidelines must be followed. 
  • Financial donations are also welcome – please make checks payable to RHPTA. 
  • We also encourage you to think about joining us for these other important Live Thankfully dates:
    • Party with a Purpose – Part 1at Stripling Middle School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 23, sorting from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., and bagging from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    • Party with a Purpose – Part 2at Southwest Christian Preparatory Campus from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. next Sunday, Nov. 24, sorting from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., bagging from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., and unloading bags at Christ Chapel Bible Church from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Angel Tree Angels Available for Adoption This Thursday, Nov. 21

  • RH has our very own Angel Tree to support our school families that need a little extra love and support over the holidays. 
  • Angels will be available for adoption this Thursday, Nov. 21, during drop off in the school lobby. 
  • In addition to the angels we have available, we are also asking for 15-20 $25 Walmart gift cards to include for each family. If you don’t have time to shop but want to help spread love and holiday cheer, Walmart gift cards are a great option!

Winter Wear Update

  • Thanks to those who have already ordered winter wear! Those orders will be received before Thanksgiving break.
  • Our next online sale is running this Friday, Nov. 22, through Friday, Dec. 6.
  • Help support our 5th grade field trips, and stay warm this winter. 
  • The sweatshirts and jackets are uniform approved so they can be worn in the hallway and in the classrooms throughout the day. 
  • The shirts are spirit shirts and can be worn on Fridays.

  • Everything is online; prices have been reduced by a few dollars, and the deadline has been extended a few weeks.  
  • We will NOT be taking orders past the deadline. Any extras from the vendor will be sold first come, first serve.

FWISD Thanksgiving Break is next week starting Monday, Nov. 25, through Friday, Nov. 29, which means there will be no school next week. Enjoy your holiday break!

Per the flyer recently sent home in folders, all interested 5th grade students and their parents are invited to the Monnig Middle School Tour from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
 

Sign Up for Mustang Stampede!
Mustang Stampede is ready to thrill your kids with a surprise appearance on their birthday or any special occasion! Your kids will wake up on their birthday or other special occasion to find their front yard "stampeded" with mustang signs displayed by 5th grade families.
