Campus Closed for Benchmark Testing Tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 13, through This Friday, Jan. 17

  • Due to Benchmark Testing, our campus will be closed (including lunch) to volunteers and visitors tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 13, through this Friday, Jan. 17. This means no visitors will be allowed on campus (in classrooms or during lunch) all week for all grades. 
  • We apologize for the inconvenience, but we want to ensure the best testing environment for our students. 
  • Thank you for your flexibility and understanding!

Two Out-of-Dress Code Days Benefiting 5th Grade Fundraising This Wednesday, Jan. 15, and Thursday, Jan. 16 

  • Students may purchase out-of-dress code wristbands before school tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 13, and Tuesday, Jan. 14, ($3 for a 2-day wristband) to be worn Wednesday, Jan. 15, and Thursday, Jan. 16.
  • All money raised will go to 5th grade fundraising.
  • As always, basic dress code guidelines must be followed.

Winter Wear Sale In Lobby Before and After School This Wednesday, Jan. 15 
We will again be selling extra winter wear in the lobby before and after school this Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Reminder: History Fair Scheduled for This Friday, Jan. 17
As a reminder, the RH History Fair will be held this Friday, Jan. 17.
Here are some details to keep in mind: 

  • Students will choose a topic that interests them and share what they learn with the RH community by preparing a display board, process paper and bibliography.
  • Students may participate individually or submit a group project. 
  • Teachers at each grade level are offering extra credit for participation.
  • The first-place winners from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will advance to the District History Fair.

Reminder: RH Chess Tournament This Saturday, Jan. 18
As a reminder, RH is hosting our 6th Annual Chess Tournament this Saturday, Jan. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

  • Participants will receive medals, and individual and team trophies will be awarded in each of six sections. 
  • Entry fee is $15, if received by 6 p.m. this Thursday, Jan. 16; entry fee is $30, if received on-site between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18. Make check payable to RHPTA.
  • If your child is interested, register online at

As a reminder, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, there will be no school on Monday, Jan. 20.

Sign Up for Mustang Stampede!
Mustang Stampede is ready to thrill your kids with a surprise appearance on their birthday or any special occasion! Your kids will wake up on their birthday or other special occasion to find their front yard "stampeded" with mustang signs displayed by 5th grade families.
